I am in love with light and I am inspired by golden moments.
I am a full time wedding, portrait and editorial photographer based in Gauteng, South Africa. My photography style can be described as timeless, romantic and minimalistic with a keen eye for detail.
I graduated from the Open Window with a BA Visual Communication degree, majoring in communication design and photography. After assisting top South African photographers for a few years and working as a freelance photographer, I realised my true love had always been weddings. Bronwyn Alyson Photography was born, and shortly after, I also had the honour of lecturing in photography at the Open Window. My work has been published in magazines like Sarie Tydskrif, SA Home Owner, Bella Tydskrif and the blog, Mooi Troues.
“Golden moments” are what my grandfather used to call those once-in-a-lifetime memories that stick with you forever. He was a legitimate Springbok photographer - and I like to believe some of his genes were passed down to me. Capturing true emotion and unique stories timelessly, always with the highest quality of imagery - that is my goal.
When I am not at a photo session or editing, you can find me spending time with my husband and best friend (which is the same person) or lost between the pages of a book. We have an adorable cockatiel called Puka, who sits on my lap whenever I’m working behind my desk. My dreams include traveling the world and opening a coffee shop in more than one country. I want to keep learning, stay inspired and become a better version of myself every day. My favourite photography quote sums this up better than I could have said it myself:
